What Others Say

«Soloist Dimitris Kostopoulos impresses with his precise and elegant playing. With great precision and composure, he gives each tone a significant role within the broader context. The balance between orchestra and soloist is good and the work is performed with a nice pace and flow. Impressive»
MOSS AVIS, on a performance of W. A. Mozart’s Piano Concerto no. 13 with Oslo Camerata, 2010

It is noticeable when there comes a soloist who wants something onto the stage. Dimitris Kostopoulos is one such. A pianist who wants to play concerts, who want to be leading. (…) This is High Romantic music, and there was a lot of romance in more than a National Romantic sense in the way Kostopoulos chose to perform the work. (…) In the tender, light passages of the concerto where the soloist gets to stand almost by himself, it became at times movingly beautiful. (…) Great atmosphere and raging cheers at the end of the performance”.

AVISA NORDLAND, on a performance of Edvard Griegs Piano Concerto in A minor with Bodø Orkesterforening, 2007

«(…)With solid education and increasing experience, he begins to look like a master pianist. Kostopoulos and the ensemble presented a forthright and dashing version of Mozart’s famous piano concerto no. 21 “Elvira Madigan”. A fine collaboration between the soloist and the orchestra, characterized by mutual respect but also independence both ways. Both parties gave of themselves and their richness along the way.»
